The Embraer Legacy 500 is a record-breaking aircraft new to the market and claims the prize for being the first midsize jet aircraft of its kind to use digital flight controls with total fly-by-wire.
The shorter sister of the 13 seat Legacy 600 series but still with the 6 feet high cabin with a flat floor, every seat has a window (the largest windows in its class) and the seats pull out into fully flat berths for comfy sleeping.
It is the fastest aircraft in its class and has excellent runway performance. A maximum altitude of 37,000ft with cruising speeds of up to 520mph/836kph.
There is a fully equipped galley with first class catering facilities, providing hot meals.
A large washroom to the rear with walk-through door to the very large rear baggage compartment.
